Many people may have used various kinds of freezer bags or rolls. Their results may vary depending on the quality of the product as well as product usage knowledge. To ensure effective use with our Fresh Shield products, here are some tips you may be interested in.
Our bags and rolls are compactable with many types of vacuum sealer available on the market. On occasion, there is a chance it may not because of the temperature created by your vacuum is not suitable for our product. Too hot will simply melt the bags and caused funny smell while too cool, the bags will not be properly sealed.

Our bags and rolls are compatible with many brands of vacuum sealers. However, they may sometimes not work if the temperature created by the sealer is not suitable for our product. Overheating will melt the bags while underheating results in a poor seal.

To seal properly, please follow the instruction from your own vacuum appliance. However, we do recommend avoiding using rolls till the very end, saying about half an inch, since it may not be effective as it was compressed during rolled. Bags are perfectly fine in that sense.

To properly seal, always follow the instructions from your vacuum appliance. Please keep in mind to avoid using rolls until the very end of the roll - they may not be as effective due to compression. This does not affect bag use.

Our bags and rolls has provided simple instructions to indicate to our clients " this side up" as well as simple labels so you may label your food associated with specific date or instruction.

Our products include simple instructions to indicate orientation during usage as well as labels to write dates or instructions.

Some customers may have experience that air can re-enter the bags after their food was sealed. If it happens, please examine the seal of the bags to check if there is wrinkle or leaks from bags especially if you are recycling your bags (sharp objects may cause leakage). Usually wrinkle along seal area may cause leakage. In that case, you may simply cut and reseal properly. To ensure our food is properly sealed, make sure the entire open end is resting inside of the vacuum sealer.

Some customers may experience leaks in Fresh Shield products. If this occurs, examine the seal to check for wrinkles or holes, especially if you are recycling a bag. Sharp objects or wrinkles may causes leakages of air. To fix this, cut away the wrinkled or punctured part and reseal. To ensure proper sealing, ensure that the open end is resting entirely inside the sealing apparatus.
Our products are recyclable but also limited to its previous content. It is only recommended if it does not require heavy cleaning (using heavy chemical cleaning products) or any food that may not cause cross contamination (meat, fish, eggs and etc).

Our bags and rolls are perfect for freezer and safe to heat up food (not cooking from raw material) in the microwave. Please avoid heating up food that tends to create a lot of oil, as it may get hot too quickly. As a result, the bags will be stuck in many cases. Gentle reminder, cutting a corner open will allow steam to come out rather it's trapped inside of the bags. Last but not least, it is also fine to put out bags with frozen food into the simmering water (not boiling) for heating up.

Our products are freezer-safe and microwave-safe for pre-cooked food. Avoid foods high in oil, however, which will heat up too quickly and cause seals within the product. You can even steam your food by cutting open a corner and heating the product normally. To cook frozen foods, our products can even be placed into simmering (not boiling) water directly.
Food can be defrosted in the vacuumed bags as long as it keeps in the refrigerator (instead of room tempreture).

Food may be defrosted within vacuumed bags/rolls in the refrigerator (but not at room temperature).

Important note:

Vacuum packaging cannot replace canning, refrigeration or freezing. It is only slowing down the process of deterioration of foods rather than avoiding it completely. The result may vary depends on the condition of the food at the time of vacuumed packaging. Please always preserve your food at a safe temperature and environment.

Tips for foods and produce:

-Bread: must be frozen first before vacuum packed.
Bread - must be frozen before vacuum packed
-Tomato: recommended to turn them into semi finished to finished products before packaging. Although Tomato can be pre frozen and vacuumed packed after, they tends to become softer and change the nature a bit.
Tomatoes - should be semi-prepared to prepared before packaging as vacuum sealing will cause tomatoes to soften and change texture
-Berries: must be frozen first, pad to dry before vacuum packed.
Berries - must be frozen and dried before vacuum packed
-Vegetables tend to produce gases (like Broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage) are not suitable for vacuum packed as those gases will expand the bag. Others are recommended to cook them lightly to reduce the possibility of releasing gases during the process.
Gas-producing Vegetables (such as broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage) - should not be vacuumed packed fresh as their gases will expand after sealing; lightly cooked gas-producing vegetables may be packed

-Meat and fish: there is chance the meat and fish may turn darker while it was vacuumed packed. It was mainly because the meat is not exposed to air and lack of oxygen. Therefore, it was normal and means no harm to the quality of the food itself.
Meat and Fish - meat and fish may darken during the vacuum process but will not harm the quality of the food; after unsealing, meat and fish will return to normal colouration
Please note: for better result, please pad food to dry before vacuum packed...........will need to expand on this ..........
